Breaking Bread with Heroes at Camp Pendleton

The Robert Irvine Foundation recently spent an incredible day at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton alongside our partners at the National Defense Network, connecting with the Marines who serve our country every day.
During the visit, Robert Irvine joined Marines for a powerful podcast conversation about his time serving in the Royal Navy and the importance of continuing to fuel and strengthen the military community long after service ends. The discussion focused on resilience, leadership, and the responsibility we all share in supporting those who serve.
Following the conversation, the Foundation hosted a Breaking Bread With Heroes gathering for Marines on base. Through our Let’s Chow food truck, Joselle’s Filipino Cuisine, the team served more than 300 meals, creating space for connection, conversation, and community.

Moments like these matter. Service members dedicate their lives to protecting our nation, but strength after service requires continued connection and support. By bringing people together around the table, Breaking Bread With Heroes creates opportunities for Marines to reconnect, share their stories, and strengthen the bonds that carry them forward.
We are grateful to the Marines at Camp Pendleton and the National Defense Network for welcoming us and for the opportunity to spend the day together.
Because when we gather around the table, we’re not just sharing a meal - we’re helping build a community that supports those who serve, long after the uniform comes off.
