Gunnery Sergeant U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.)

Gunnery Sergeant Kimmy Lamano, a native of Manila, Philippines, reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, for recruit training on January 5, 2004. Over the course of her distinguished Marine Corps career, she earned numerous personal awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold stars, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two bronze stars, and the Humanitarian Service Medal with two bronze stars. Gunnery Sergeant Lamano retired from active duty in May 2023 after nearly two decades of honorable service. She is now the founder of Fidelis Outreach, where she continues her commitment to serving others and supporting the military and veteran community.
