Tracie Stucke

Retired Police Officer, Robert Irvine Foundation Ambassador

Tracie Stucke, 62, was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, the youngest of seven children in a family with a strong tradition of public service. Today, she continues that legacy as an Ambassador for the Robert Irvine Foundation, sharing her story to inspire others and advocate for those living with disabilities.

Her grandfather served as a firefighter, while her father and two brothers retired as Chiefs of the City of Erie Police Department. Following in their footsteps, Tracie joined the Erie Police in 1986, serving in the 4th Platoon, a specialized unit dedicated to high-crime areas, and later in the K9 Unit.

In 1995, Tracie’s career as a K9 Officer was cut short when an automobile accident left her with a spinal cord injury. Determined to continue serving, she transitioned into civilian roles with the department, first as a dispatcher and later as an Investigative Analyst in the Narcotics Unit, where she worked until her retirement in 2017.

Service has always been a hallmark of her family. Tracie is the proud mother of a son who served four years in the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Sergeant and deploying to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his honorable discharge, he continued his commitment to public safety, joining the Erie County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy and later serving with the Erie Police Department, where he was promoted to Sergeant. In July 2023, while on duty, he was shot in the line of duty and continues to recover from his injuries.

Since retiring, Tracie has devoted herself to her family, especially cherishing time with her four granddaughters.

Mobius iBOT Recipient

In 2023, Tracie was gifted a Mobius iBOT® Personal Mobility Device through the generosity of Sunbelt Rentals, a partner committed to honoring the service of first responders. The iBOT restores critical independence—allowing her to navigate rough terrain, climb stairs, and rise to eye level in conversations. It means more than mobility—it’s about freedom, presence, and connection.

Tracie’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance, the importance of public service, and the impact of restoring access to life’s most meaningful moments. The Robert Irvine Foundation is proud to stand with Tracie in this next chapter of strength, mobility, and joy.
